In the picturesque village of Abcoude, near Amsterdam in the Netherlands, an old train station has been completely renovated into the remarkable Hotel de Witte Dame. The building was given a new future in 2015 when it was purchased by Han van Blokland and Arthur van Gils and transformed into this inspired boutique hotel. Each room is elegantly decorated, with every fixture and piece of furniture carefully selected down to the slightest detail. The hotel’s restaurant features a suspended, pivoting Gyrofocus: the most iconic of all Focus fireplaces. This design choice lends the space an atmosphere that is both luxurious and welcoming.
