This wooden house nestled in the Mediterranean scrubland of southern Corsica was designed by its owners and the architect Antoine Lacaze (Alcmea Architectes). This 200-square-metre single-storey dwelling has the feel of a beach house and is built on a slope that overlooks the sea. The interior design is minimalist and practical, with large glass windows that draw one’s eye to the outdoors.
The living area completely opens onto the deck, with steps down to a long infinity pool surrounded by trees that provide natural shade. The indoor space is equally alluring, with its walls of white wood, floors of grey concrete, and a suspended and pivoting Slimfocus fire.
